Lourdes world famous pilgrimage site

Every year around 6 millions pilgrims or visitors come to Lourdes from more than 140 countries. For many christians Lourdes means the revival of their faith and for the disabled an hope for recovery. Since the 1st apparition on the 11 February 1858, volunteers give assistance to the elderly and the disabled pilgrims who came to pray or thank Our Lady of Lourdes. Some are true belivers some others are just curious. Many come to be healed both physically and spiritually.
